SCHOOL MISSION/DESCRIPTION

Carbonear Collegiate High School is located in Carbonear (population 5000), one of the oldest settlements in Newfoundland, Canada. The school is operated by the Newfoundland and Labrador English School District and has a student population of 530 in grade 9 - Level III. Our students come from 10 different communities. Staff members currently number 42. The school was opened in September of 1985.

The school motto is 'Animus Vivit' which means: "The spirit lives?. The school colours are burgundy and grey; school teams wear the Sentinels logo .

Carbonear Collegiate offers a diverse program in academics, arts, and sports. We also offer excellent programs in Fine Arts and Music.
