The Gander Collegiate Concert Band and Choir represented the Town of Gander and the province of Newfoundland and Labrador exceptionally well at the Atlantic Festivals of Music in Halifax, Nova Scotia. School officials travelled with 77 hard-working students from grades 10-12 who spent much time this year in preparation for the event. Both the band and choir were honoured to receive silver awards for their performances, representing an 'exceedingly high standard of musical performance.'

Students also had the honour of working with professional musicians, who had nothing but praise for our students. All students had a wonderful time and are greatly anticipating the next Atlantic Festival of Music - congratulations to all participants.
