More previously suspended routes are set to resume their runs, as the Newfoundland and Labrador English School District continues to restore service to those impacted by the service interruption announced on February 11.

Busing service will resume on Tuesday (February 14) for select runs at Beaconsfield Junior High, Holy Spirit High School, Paradise Intermediate, and Topsail Elementary. Should weather-related closures impact these schools tomorrow, service will resume the next school day. Alternate transportation services will also resume for the schools listed in the backgrounder on Wednesday (February 15). Schools will be in direct contact with students and families to provide the updated information. 

The complete list of schools in the backgrounder in the attached release has been updated, with the latest run information bolded and identified for those schools with resumption dates. 

District staff will continue work to restore services and aim to have all bus services in place by Monday, February 20. As resources become available, service may be implemented earlier for some schools. Families are being asked to make arrangements for transportation to and from school in the interim.

The District continues to remind the general public to be careful when travelling through school zones, particularly in the areas near the schools listed in the release below.
