PD Available on the Canadian Parliamentary System

The Teachers Institute on Canadian Parliamentary Democracy is an intensive professional development opportunity that brings together outstanding educators from across Canada for an insider’s view of our Canadian Parliamentary system. Participants travel to Ottawa to attend sessions with political, procedural and pedagogical experts and to engage in a process of critical inquiry into key issues around citizenship and parliamentary democracy.

The institute also provides the opportunity for teachers from across the country to work collaboratively in developing new strategies for teaching and learning.
The 2017 fall institute will be held in Ottawa from November 5th – 10th.  For more details about the program, visit this link to the Parliament of Canada’s website.

Completed applications must be submitted online and supporting documentation must be postmarked no later than April 15, 2017.
