Villanova Junior High students show off their hardware after taking top honours at the Skills Canada Intermediate Challenge

The 14th annual Skills Canada Intermediate Challenge took place November 26th, with over 400 junior high school students taking part in a demonstration of skill and ability. Over 50 teams and individuals received medals in their categories, which ranged from photography and public speaking to computer animation and wind turbines! Gold medal winners in most categories have been invited to represent their schools at the Skills Canada Provincial Competition in April. More information and a full list of results in each category is attached.

Top placing schools include:
1st - Villanova Junior High
2nd - Beaconsfield Junior High
3rd - Holy Spirit High School

The Newfoundland and Labrador English School District congratulates all participants and winners, and looks forward to seeing more great skills development among our students through this worthwhile endeavour.
