Every year, Mr. Baldwin's Grade 8 health students give back to the surrounding community by cleaning up the areas of Larkhall Field and Leary's Brook Junior High. This effort complements the Leary's Brook Junior High Beautification Project that takes place twice a year. The project focuses on the planting/pruning of trees and shrubs, removal of weeds and garbage, and installation of mulch around the school. The project has also been involved with the installation of walkways and chairs around the school in an effort to create a welcoming place for students. This year, Grade 8 students removed abandoned furniture, broken wood, election signs, and garbage in an effort to clean up the area.
