| JOB TEXT: | SECONDMENT - Employment OpportunityProgram Development Specialist – Restorative Justice CoordinatorEducation OperationsDepartment of Education and Early Childhood Development (EECD) DUTIES: Reporting to the Director, this position will provide leadership in the implementation of school safety initiatives, with a dedicated focus on embedding restorative justice strategies as per the Safe and Caring Schools policy within the school system. This may include the preparation of support documents, and the development of competency based professional learning and mentoring models. This position requires a collaborative approach, working closely with internal and external stakeholders including other government departments, school staff and family of schools teams, and professional organizations to design and evaluate school safety professional learning initiatives that support the diverse needs of students in K-12 education. Qualifications:
This position requires the incumbent to hold a valid teaching certificate issued by the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. The successful candidate must be employed on a continuous contract basis with NLSchools or the Conseil Scolaire Francophone Provincial and be able to be seconded from their current position in accordance with the provisions of the NLTA collective agreement.
