Corner Brook School System

In June 2009, the former Western School District passed a number of motions pertaining to the reorganization of the Corner Brook school system. As part of these motions it was planned that both Humber Elementary and St. Gerard's Elementary would close with both student populations attending a new Kindergarten to Grade 6 school at an appropriately renovated G.C. Rowe building. As the renovations to make G.C. Rowe an appropriate Kindergarten to Grade 6 school are scheduled to be completed prior to September 2017, the motion of 2009 will be implemented for the 2017-2018 school year.
